Celebrating Community, Culture & Service Throughout the Year
Our events are the heartbeat of KCA—where culture comes alive, friendships are built, and community impact becomes real. Every year, we host signature activities that bring Kenyans in Calgary together to serve, celebrate, and strengthen our identity. Whether it’s through volunteer efforts, cultural festivals, or national celebrations, these events unite us with purpose and pride.
KCA Youth and Family Day
KCA Youth and Family Day is a free, family-friendly community event designed to bring families, youth, and children together for a day of fun, connection, and cultural celebration. Enjoy swimming, climbing, games, a movie screening, great food, and meaningful networking in a welcoming environment. Come connect, build friendships, and strengthen community bonds — everyone is welcome!

Alberta Highway Cleaning (Community Cleanup Day)
KCA proudly participates in Alberta’s Adopt-A-Highway program, dedicating time each year to clean a major stretch of highway. This initiative is more than just a cleanup—it’s a symbol of our commitment to giving back to the province we call home.
Our volunteers—youth, adults, and families—come together to collect waste, protect the environment, and showcase the Kenyan spirit of responsibility and unity.
Impact:
- Promotes environmental stewardship
- Brings the community together in service
- Strengthens our relationship with Alberta’s civic programs
